The History of Fairfield Christian Reformed Church
In the summer of 1978, the CRC board of Home Missions found Fairfield, CA and the surrounding community to be an area with good potential for developing a church. They felt that with the guidance of Christ and a dedicated minister, they could begin a Christian Reformed Church without a nucleus of people with a Christian Reformed background.
The first worship service was held on November 4, 1979 in a local school with 34 people in attendance.
The Fairfield CRC was able to purchase property and build a church building, and has continued to grow and flourish while ministering in Solano County.
